Standing On Your Convictions

THE SEED
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 Timothy 3:1

We occasionally see efforts to undermine Christianity when we watch the news, whether it be local or international. The enemy, who persuades the world to oppose our views, regularly attacks the church. As a result, we must be prepared to defend our biblical convictions. Threats based on ideology are a very real tool in the toolbox used against Christians. Since we are followers of Jesus Christ, we battle not with material weapons but with the power of God’s word. There is no place for compromising with a self-indulgent culture since we are His ambassadors. Instead, we ought to live in accordance with God’s Word. We must therefore be careful not to get sucked into cultures or beliefs that are against God’s precepts. In regard to God’s truth, we must not waver. Genuine convictions are untouched by the trends of the day, cultural norms, or the vogue for the latest theories. Defending Christian views might be awkward because they aren’t always well-liked. But keep in mind that the Lord has promised to remain at our side.

PRAYER
Father Lord, let not my faith be shaken, now and forever. Amen.
