THE SEED
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert. Isaiah 35:5-6
When are this verses fulfilled? Isaiah 35:4 had said: “Behold, your God will come… and save you.” This is considered by many to be a double prophecy, first, when Jesus came to live as a man, died in our place and resurrected; and second, in regard to Jesus’ Second Coming. The first one already took place and we are waiting for the second. Since the Lord came in the flesh, He healed blind eyes and deaf ears, both physically and spiritually Jesus came to restore not only our physical bodies but also our spiritual capacities. There is nothing He cannot heal or restore and the more we pray and trust Him, the healthier can we be. Jesus compared the presence of the Holy Spirit with springs of living water. Also God’s grace that we received through Jesus, can be compared to springs of water that had burst in the desert and developed into streams. The spiritual state of humanity could be compared with the desert in desperate need of water. People without Christ are spiritually dry and cannot be satisfied by anything else than the Holy Spirit’s fountain.
