CONQUER EVIL WITH GOOD
THE SEED
“Be not overcome by evil but overcome evil with good” Romans 12:21.
Our Lord Jesus gave us a perfect example of how we can overcome evil with good. Even when we were sinners and rebellious, He died for us.
None of us will become believers today if not for how Jesus gave Himself as a ransom for our sins. Even after this sacrifice, He patiently and consistently calls us to repentance from our old ways.
We are also encouraged to feed our enemy when they are hungry. We must not permit other people’s hostility to brew hostility in us, but we must allow our demonstration of love to triumph over their hostility. It is only through this that we can be true children of our heavenly Father.
Our acts of love will ultimately bring people to the kingdom of God and help in protecting us against the plans of the enemy.
PRAYER
My God and father, please grant me the grace to overcome evil with good and show love to others even when faced with hostility. Amen.
