FAINT, YET PURSUING

FAINT, YET PURSUING

THE SEED

And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them.” Judges 8:4 (KJV)

Gideon had a job to do, and along with his three hundred men, he was not going to stop till it was completed. Be a ‘Completer’, Be someone who stays with the task at hand till it is finished. The Holy Spirit recently commended an elder of our branch for how she persisted in carrying out an instruction He gave her two weeks before. It was not convenient; it disrupted her plans and ruined her schedule for that day. But she made sure she completed the task before going home. And God pronounced a blessing upon her. Will you be that person who fully obeys the instructions of God? Or will you allow situations, and circumstances to determine how far you will go? Will you put your comfort and convenience before the commandment of the Lord? Gideon and his men were tired and hungry. But they chose not to stop because the job was not yet done. If you will persist, regardless of how you feel, and regardless of the situation; God will back you up. If you determine in your heart that you will do what God asked you to do, the way He asked you to do it; you cannot miss His blessing. And what is more, you will be transformed. You will become the sort of person that gets the job done. The sort of person God can trust and bestow honour and responsibility unto.
