THE SEED
“So Abram settled in the land of Canaan, and Lot moved his tents to a place near Sodom… They also captured Lot—Abram’s nephew who lived in Sodom—and carried off everything he owned.” – Genesis 14:12 (KJV)
Staying too close to ungodly influences can subtly draw us away from God. Lot initially pitched his tent near Sodom, but eventually ended up living inside the city. Sinful influences often enter our lives gradually, and if we’re not spiritually alert, compromise follows.
As believers, we must be wise about our environment and associations. Constant exposure to people or places that dishonor God can affect our faith and convictions. Guard your influence, stand firm in the Word, and choose your environment carefully.
BIBLE READINGS: Psalm 1:1–6 (KJV)
PRAYER: Father, grant me wisdom to avoid every environment and influence that can compromise my faith. Keep me steadfast in Your Word, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
