THE SEED
“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.’” John 8:12 NIV
Jesus is our unfailing Light. When we follow Him, He leads us out of darkness into clarity, purpose, and peace. Just as the hymn “Be Thou My Vision” declares, we need Christ to be at the center of our thoughts, desires, decisions, and battles. When Christ is our vision, He guides our steps in both bright and confusing times. Trusting in the Lord with all our heart (Proverbs 3:5–6) aligns our paths with His will. He becomes our Shield and Stronghold, as declared in Psalm 18:2. His light exposes confusion, protects us from danger, and illuminates the way forward. When we allow Him to lead, we are never truly lost. Worldly applause fades, but Christ’s light remains steady and sure. True joy and peace come when our gaze is fixed on Him and not on our circumstances. When Christ is your vision, darkness loses its power.
