“And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.” – Genesis 37:8
Joseph’s brothers plotted against him because of envy, seeing him as their father’s favorite and misunderstanding the dreams God gave him. Yet, God’s plans for each of them were good and purposeful, and even through their envy, He preserved His divine order. Believers should remain focused on God’s plan for their lives and not be distracted by the successes or revealed glory of others. God’s timing is perfect, and He will bring each purpose to fulfillment. Rather than envying others, we should celebrate God’s blessings and trust Him to bring our own destiny to manifestation.
BIBLE READINGS: Genesis 37:1–11 (KJV)
PRAYER: Oh Lord, remove the spirit of envy from my life, open my eyes to Your plans, and grant me the heart to celebrate others, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
