THE SEED
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
For one to be grafted into Christ and joined to Him, one has to be born-again, through the Holy Spirit, by faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Does that mean that the whole being is transformed? No, only the spirit becomes a new creature and that is the “inward man” as Paul calls it. Our spirit or the inward man, has become new. The old sinful nature in our spirits has been removed and replaced with God’s righteous nature. The old things, our old sinful nature, has been done away with and our spirits has become new, perfect and sinless. But we have to change our minds from thinking according to the worldly pattern to God’s model by studying, learning and applying God’s Word in our daily lives. It takes time to replace the old ways of doing things and perceiving life with God’s truth, but the more progress we make, the less we desire to sin, the harder it is for us to lose our temper, the more we love and forgive others. In other words, we become more and more what God created us to be in the first place and that is to become love, being more like Jesus. Through the Holy Spirit we received new life inside of us and we are to let it shine through us by the way we think, feel, talk and act.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me in such a marvelous way. You gave me a new birth and canceled the effects of sin in my life by replacing the sinful nature in my spirit with Your righteous one. Please help me to continue being transformed by renewing my mind through Your Word with the help of the Holy Spirit in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Njẹ èyí tumọ si pe gbogbo ẹda wà ti yipada bi? rárá o, ẹ̀mí nìkan ló di ẹ̀dá tuntun, éyi sì ni “ọkùnrin inú” gẹ́gẹ́ bí Pọ́ọ̀lù ṣe pè é.Ẹ̀mí wa tàbí èniyàn inú, ti di tuntun. Ṣùgbọ́n a ní láti yí èrò inú wa padà láti inú ìrònú, kúrò ní ìbámu pẹ̀lú ìlànà ti ayé; sí àwòkọ́ṣe Ọlọrun nípa kíkẹ́kọ̀.Kí kọ̀ àti fífi ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọrun fún lilò nínú ìgbésí ayé wa ojoojúmọ́. Ó máa ń gba àkókò láti fi òtítọ́ Ọlọ́run rọ́pò àwọn ọ̀nà àtijọ́ tá a fi ń wo ìwà láàyè wa pẹlú otitọ Ọlọrun: ṣugbọn bí a bá ṣe ń tẹ̀ síwájú tó, bẹ́ẹ̀ náà ni ìfẹ́ tí a ní láti dẹ́ṣẹ̀, ṣe ndín kù tó, bẹ́ẹ̀ náà ló ṣe máa ń ṣòro fún wa láti má ṣe máa bínú sí i. Bẹ́ẹ̀ náà la ṣe túbọ̀ gbọdọ ní ifẹ̀ láti dárí ji àwọn ẹlòmíràn.Ni gbolohun miran, a ntẹ siwaju ati siwaju sii lati jẹ ohun ti Ọlọrun dá wa lati jẹ nípa jíjẹ ìfẹ, kí a sí dàbí Jesu. Nípasẹ̀ Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ a gba ìyè tuntun nínú wa, a sì ní láti jẹ́ kí ó tàn nípasẹ̀ wa, nípa ọ̀nà tí a ń gbà ronú, ìmọ̀lára, ọ̀rọ̀ sísọ àti ìṣe.
