THE SEED
“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” – John 19:30 (KJV)
Salvation is the finished work of Christ. Nothing can be added to it, but we must intentionally maintain it. Maintaining salvation means building a consistent relationship with God through prayer, study of His Word, faith, obedience, and love. Tests and trials will come to prove our commitment, just as Abraham, Joseph, the apostles, and even Jesus Himself faced trials. But as we continually fix our eyes on the cross and remember His sacrifice, grace is released to keep us standing.
BIBLE READINGS: Philippians 2:12–16 (KJV)
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the gift of salvation. Keep me in Your will and give me strength to maintain it faithfully until You come. Amen.
