PURSUING HIS COUNSEL ALWAYS
THE SEED
“The Israelites accepted some food from them, but did not consult the Lord about it.” — Joshua 9:14 (GNB)
One of the greatest mistakes believers make is assuming we can handle some matters without God’s counsel. Israel fell into this trap when they trusted their judgment instead of asking God. As a result, they made a covenant they could not undo. We must learn to seek God’s counsel in both big and small matters. Doing so helps us practice hearing His voice and builds a habit of relying on Him. When tough seasons arise, discerning His direction becomes natural because we’ve walked closely with Him daily. Never think a matter is too small to bring before God. The more we lean on Him, the wiser and more victorious our decisions will be.
Reflection: A praying heart makes fewer mistakes.
