“The thief comes only to steal and Kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10, NIV
A true-life story from the web: A long time back, I was watching the news when Captain Sullenberger successfully landed a jet airplane in the Hudson River. Every one of the 155 travelers survived. It’s known as the “Wonder on the Hudson.” A reporter asked one traveler his opinion on everything. He was wet, so cold, a bit fatigued, yet he had this fantastic glow about him, an excitement in his voice. I will always remember everything he said to the reporter, “I was
alive before, however, now I’m truly alive.” My question today is, “Would you say you are truly alive?” Are you passionate about the life God has given you? Do you get up each day with excitement, seeking after your dreams? God doesn’t need you to simply “be alive” or exist or persevere. He maintains that you should be truly alive! You have seeds of greatness within. There is more for you to achieve in life. Become happy for what God is doing! Lift up your eyes of faith to Him. Continue trusting, continue accepting, continue trusting and continue to live in light of the fact that God has a brilliant plan coming up for you!
Father, thank You for making me alive in Christ! I declare that Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and because He died for me, I can live the abundant life here on earth. Help me stay focused on You this day and live with the enthusiasm that comes from knowing You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
