SHOW NO PARTIALITY

SHOW NO PARTIALITY

THE SEED

“My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory.” — James 2:1 NIV

God is not a respecter of persons, and neither should His children be. Partiality, especially in the body of Christ, contradicts the gospel of grace. Jesus treated everyone with dignity—rich or poor, powerful or powerless. To show favoritism is to step out of God’s nature. One of the greatest temptations in life and church is favouring those who are wealthy or influential while neglecting those who have little. This behaviour dishonours God and elevates worldly standards above Kingdom values. The church is called to be radically different—where all are valued equally in Christ. God honours the humble, not the rich or powerful by worldly standards. When we treat people without bias, we mirror God’s heart to the world. Love must be sincere, not selective.

How do your actions show the love of God to both the powerful and the powerless?

PRAYER: Father, give me a heart free from favoritism. Help me love everyone as You do. Amen.
