STAY FOCUSED, DON’T BE DISTRACTED
THE SEED
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.” Philippians 3:13 (NIV)
The Christian journey is not without distractions. Circumstances, people’s opinions, and painful experiences can divert our focus from God’s purpose. Like Apostle Paul, we must learn to fix our gaze on the goal eternal life in Christ and not on what lies behind. Dwelling on negative comments or setbacks only slows us down. God’s strength is perfected when we choose to look forward with faith. Distractions are subtle, but determination and prayer keep us steady. Keep pressing forward. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. Distractions will fade, but your reward in Him is eternal.
Reflection: You can’t reach your destiny while staring at your past.
