THE INFLUENCE OF GODLY PARENTS
THE SEED
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
God gave no instructions to priests, teachers, or national leaders to raise the next generation in preparing the Israelites for the promised land. He entrusted parents with the task instead. This still holds true today. First, we must linguistically instruct kids by teaching them about God and His Word and having talks with them about it. Second, we must influence them via our behaviour. Children can’t help but notice when parents let Scripture direct their motivations and behaviours, and they pick up conduct by example. Think about how the following actions might affect our kids.
They will understand God’s reliability if they witness us relying on Him and taking the Bible seriously. If we are active in following Him, they will value this approach as well. If we persevere through hardship, kids will learn patience and endurance. If we respect people in positions of power over us, our kids will too. Consider what young people could or might not be noticing in your life today if you are a parent, teacher, or other figure who has an impact on their lives. I pray that your relationship with God will have an impact on how you behave and spill over into the lives of the young people in your immediate vicinity.
PRAYER
Oh Lord, give me the grace to be a Godly parent, also give our children the power to abide in the Godly teaching given to them, Amen.

Ronu nipa bi awọn iṣe wọnyi ṣe le ni ipa lori awọn ọmọ wa: • Wọ́n máa lóye ìgbẹ́kelé Ọlọ́run bí wọ́n bá jẹ́rìí sí wa pé a gbẹ́ke lé e tí a sì ń mú Bíbélì lọ́kunkundun.• Ti a ba n tele pelu gbogbo ipa wa, wọn yoo mọ riri eyi pẹlu. • Ti a ba farada ninu idojuko, awọn ọmọde yoo kọ ẹkọ sũru ati ifarada. • Ti a ba bọwọ fun awọn eniyan ti o wa ni ipo agbara lori wa, awọn ọmọ wa yoo se eleyi pelu. Wo ohun ti Osese ki awon odo maa sakiyesi tabi to won ko sakiyesi ni igbesi aye rẹ loni ti o ba jẹ obi, olukọ, tabi eeyan miiran ti o ni ipa lori igbesi aye wọn. Mo gbadura pe ibasepo rẹ pẹlu Ọlọrun yoo ni ipa lori bi o ṣe huwa ati ki o tan kaakiri sinu igbesi aye awọn ọdọ ni agbegbe rẹ.
