THE RIGHT TIME TO DO GOOD

THE RIGHT TIME TO DO GOOD

THE SEED

“While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came to Him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on His head as He was reclining at the table.” — Matthew 26:6–7 NIV

Mary’s act of anointing Jesus was a perfect example of acting in God’s timing. While others misunderstood her, Jesus praised her. She was spiritually alert, and her obedience became a lasting testimony. God often prompts us to act at specific times—not when it’s convenient or popular. Delayed obedience can mean missed opportunities. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that there is a time for everything under heaven.

Like Mary, we must listen carefully, act boldly, and trust that God will honour obedience done in His timing. What may seem insignificant to others can become a legacy before God. What is God prompting you to do right now that requires immediate obedience?

PRAYER: Lord, make me sensitive to Your timing. Help me to act boldly in obedience. Amen.
