THIRSTING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS

THIRSTING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS

THE SEED

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” — Matthew 5:6 (NIV)

Righteousness begins with a longing for God Himself—His ways, His will, His presence. David panted after God like a deer for water; Daniel chose holiness under pressure; Isaiah was humbled, cleansed, and sent; Paul counted all things loss to gain Christ. Hunger moved them, and God filled them. Such desire leads to repentance when we fall, courage when we’re tested, and obedience when He calls. It prizes God’s approval above man’s and pursues Christlikeness daily. God satisfies seekers—He fills the hungry with good things. Identify one area needing intentional pursuit—prayer, purity, mercy, generosity, or obedience. Take a step today. The hungry heart will be filled.

Reflection: What you hunger for shapes who you become—choose righteousness.

BIBLE READING: Philippians 3:8–10

PRAYER: Lord, deepen my hunger for You. Fill me with Your righteousness and help me walk it out today. Amen.
