TRUE GOODNESS FLOWS FROM THE HEART
THE SEED
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” — Acts 10:38 (ESV)
The Parable of the Good Samaritan is a perfect example of showing goodness without expecting anything in return. He didn’t know the wounded man, yet he helped him sacrificially. His act of kindness flowed from a sincere heart, not a hidden motive.
Jesus Himself went about doing good to everyone friend and stranger alike because goodness was His nature. As His followers, goodness should be more than a reaction; it should be who we are through the power of the Holy Spirit. True goodness is not selective. It is Spirit-led, selfless, and powerful enough to draw hearts to God.
Reflection: True goodness is not showmanship – it is a lifestyle.
BIBLE READING: Luke 10:30–35
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, fill my life with the spirit of goodness so I may reflect Your nature to the world. Amen.
