“And Asa cried out to the Lord his God, and said, “Lord, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name, we go against this multitude. O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!” II Chronicles 14:11 NKJV
Beloved of Christ, let us learn a great lesson that will give us peace from King Asa. If you are living right with God by His grace, not by self-righteousness, the wise thing to do is to turn your battles and challenges of life over to God as soon as you see the signal. This act will save you from a lot of stress. This action will also make you receive divine help and instruction to have victory in your battles. King Asa saw himself as incapable of even trying to fight in this battle because his enemy’s soldiers were more numerous than his but he quickly remembered to call on his God before whose numbers are insignificant when it comes to battle because God is the mighty warrior. When King Asa called upon the Lord, immediately God answered him because King Asa has established a relationship with God to know Him as his Father and to walk in God’s will, which made the communication process easy. God turned up and defeated not only King Asa’s present enemies but even his potential enemies who could have planned an attack on him in future the Bible says that “fear fell on them” God made them handicapped and all their evil thoughts were silenced.

PRAYER: Lord, in the time of trouble, give me the wisdom not to fight alone but to turn my battle over to you for victory in Jesus’ name. Amen.
