“So Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem, and he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the mountains of Ephraim, and brought them back to the Lord God of their fathers.” 2Chronicles 19:4 NKJV
Bringing people back to the Lord is our core duty in Christ. This should be achieved using everything we have including our positions and affluence at home, at work and in our community. God is always in search of a man or people like King Jehosaphat that will live to raise the banner of righteousness calling others that are yet to know God, reconciling the ones that have gone astray from God and encouraging the weak and the feeble in faith to keep going. When Jehosaphat became King over Judah, he took up the challenge to use his position to bring his people back to God. He didn’t just wish for it but he took practical steps to reform the broken systems within Judah. What is your plan to bring the people around you to God? What steps are you taking? You might not be a king or highly placed individual in your environment but what about your own little space in your home as a mother, father and children, in your family with your parents and siblings, with your friends and co-workers? Honestly, God has given every one of us adequate space filled with people that needs to be reconciled back to Him. Be encouraged to plan and take practical steps to reconcile as many people in your space back to God.
