WHEN TRUTH FALLS SILENT
THE SEED
“And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” — Isaiah 59:14 (KJV)When the Church exchanges conviction for comfort and purity for popularity, truth grows quiet. Entertainment, selective quoting of Scripture, and people-pleasing leadership can crowd out the “pillar and ground of the truth.” A church that muffles truth becomes noise without light and form without transformation. Silenced truth leaves God’s people vulnerable to deception. Peace is kept at the expense of holiness, sin is ignored rather than confronted in love, and leaders fear losing members more than losing God’s presence. Yet Jesus promised that truth sets us free, not flattery or fashion.
God calls pastors to declare “the whole counsel of God,” and believers to hunger for sound doctrine. When truth speaks again, sin is exposed, lives are changed, and God’s glory fills His house.
