Who Is Your Esther?

THE SEED
“Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This young woman, who was also known as Esther, had a lovely figure and was beautiful. Mordecai had taken her as his daughter when her father and mother died.” Esther 2:7 NIV

Unknown to us, that young relative of ours that needs to be fed, clothed, housed and be taught the fear of God under your roof, that orphan under your care, the poor housemaid working for you, those friends of ours in school who could not afford accommodation of their own or food to eat, think of all the people around you that seems to be nobody compared to you today, it is very important that we treat them well and do what we can do to make life easier for them. You might be helping an influential person that will become useful to you and your family. Let’s learn from Modechai, he never knew that Eather would become a queen, the Bible says that he treated her like her own child. As a child of God, we should be good to everyone we meet or have things to do with. Naman’s leprosy was cured through the advice of a maid that worked with his wife, if the family had been horrible to them possibly she would not have rendered such help. Let us make it a duty to treat people well so as to make them feel valued. It doesn’t matter who they are, known or unknown. Your Esther might be your ladder to your next level, your Esther might be a nobody today but treat her well.

BIBLE READING: 2Kings 5:2-14

PRAYER: Holy Spirit give me a lowly heart to welcome and treat people around me well in Jesus’ name. Amen
