DON’T DWELL ON THE PAST

DON’T DWELL ON THE PAST

THE SEED

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.Isaiah 43: 18 (KJV)

Many people remain stuck in the pain, shame, or regret of the past, allowing yesterday to define tomorrow. Though Paul had a terrible past as persecutor of Christians, when he encountered Jesus, he embraced a new life and moved forward in purpose. Dwelling too long in our past mistakes can hinder us from having new experiences with God. A driver who focuses only on the rear-view mirror run the risk of crashing if he does not fix his eyes on the road ahead. Let go of guilt, disappointment, and fear. Fix your eyes on the future which God has prepared, trusting Him to lead you into new seasons of grace.

Reflection: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Cor 5:17)

BIBLE READING: Philippians 3:7–14

PRAYER: God, give me the strength to grow from my past into the glorious future You’ve prepared for me. Amen.

FEED YOUR SPIRIT DAILY

THE SEED

“I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” — John 6:51 (KJV)

Just as your body needs physical food to stay alive, your spirit needs the Word of God to remain strong and vibrant. When we neglect spiritual nourishment, we become weak, weary, and disconnected from God’s purpose. The Word of God is living bread. It never spoils, costs nothing, and is always available to those who hunger for it. Daily meditation and obedience to the Word bring strength, clarity, and deep satisfaction that nothing else can provide. Feed your spirit consistently through Scripture, prayer, and worship. A nourished spirit stands firm in trials and grows in intimacy with God.

Reflection: Your spiritual health depends on how you feed your spirit.

BIBLE READING: John 6:48–58

PRAYER: My God, help me to continually feed on Your Word so I may find satisfaction in You and live eternally. Amen.
