FROM COMFORT ZONE TO DANGER ZONE
THE SEED
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” — Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV)
The prodigal son thought leaving his father’s house with his inheritance would give him freedom and fulfillment. Instead, it led him into hardship and shame. Like him, many people are deceived by temporary pleasures, thinking they can find satisfaction outside God’s will. But the end of such a path is sorrow. It was only when the prodigal son came to his senses that he decided to return home, humbly seeking forgiveness. The father welcomed him with open arms, restoring him fully. This story shows the depth of God’s mercy when we repent and return to Him. When life tempts you to abandon God’s path for what seems easier, remember that true security and joy are found only in His presence. Leaving the place of grace leads to danger.
Reflection: What looks right outside of God’s will always ends in emptiness.
