NURTURING THE NEW LIFE

NURTURING THE NEW LIFE

THE SEED

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

When a person receives Jesus Christ, a transformation begins. Old habits, sinful desires, and fleshly appetites begin to lose their grip. But this new life must be nurtured. Just as a baby must be fed to grow, the new man in Christ must be fed through prayer, the Word, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Starving the old nature and feeding the new is a daily choice. If anger, pride, or lust once ruled your heart, the Spirit of God now enables you to overcome. With intentional growth and yieldedness, the new life in Christ gains strength while the old life fades. Our transformation becomes visible as we allow the Holy Spirit to renew us daily. Growth in Christ is a journey, not a one-time event.

Reflection: The new man grows when the old nature is starved and the Spirit is fed.
